Imperial Palace Garden

We left the hotel by 10 a.m. after having our free breakfast at the cafeteria, where we both had muffins and a strong bitter coffee to start the day.

Our first place to explore was the Tokyo Imperial Palace. We spent a few hours sightseeing there under the heat of 34 degrees without any wind at all. Frankly speaking, the weather here is hotter than us, the city has ample buildings that blinind even though they have more trees than us.

We didn’t get a chance to make it through all the plaours. Theause of the time, and taking a of energy which we trieit has for the evening. So, we made a stop at the souvenir shop, to get some cold drinks which I had coke to cool down the heat. And we got many postcards with Japanese art displaying flowers, peacocks, and fish.

Arrived at the TeamLab

We had arrived at the teamlab two hours early because we dididn’tnow what to do anyway so we left the hotel quite early and arrived at the teamlab two hours early. Rod suggested to take the train that we were on for one round to see the landscape and building of the new born city outside of tokyo. Just this part of area was quite like the Seattle already. To compare Tokyo in the nutshell, not to be exaggerated, itit’sike 100 Seattle combine to one Tokyo.

After we got back from one round of riding. We made a stop at the TeamLab, and waiting for our reservation which is 1:30. So we have around 1 more hour to go until we can get in, we had shared a little cold vegan soup in front of the building, and waited for 30 minutes before we got into the modern art museum.

Not gonna lie, the colors really take the picture to another level of cool,
especially with a skilled cameraman behind it.

The museum was completely a whole new experience for me to witness the modern of art rather than just viewing, you get to feel it all at once.

Just breath slowly, and enjoy it because you are now in a different world.

By walking into the entrance, they require to walk in a bare foot with a shoes and socks off because there are parts of the display was water that is under the knee, therefore, shoes and socks off is a must.

The first thing that welcome you was water, maybe they try to clean your dirty legs like mine. I can smell the clo through the water smoke.

And then, this the most amazing part, a ton of thousands of LED lights running and switching to multiple colors look like a haven down to heart. I’I’mot sure what does the heaven looks like, but it probably like this I guess, maybe it shshouldn’te.

Odon Again

After the modern art museum, our stomachs were gruelling again, so we searched for a restaurant nearby to have some food before going to (That busy street). When it comes to restaurants, dodon’torry man, itit’sverywhere, one thing that I noticed in Japan is that almost everywhere is a restaurant for every type of food, mostly Japanese food, like Ramen, Sushi, BBQ … and almost all the places I tried, itit’sll tasty.

I assumed it meant ‘n’ phones while eating,’ ‘nd I noticed that no one was using their phone during the meal. It was so quiet that the slurping sound of noodles was especially loud.

WeWe’vead Odon yesterday already, but somehow, the taste just fascinated me, and wanted me to try again. We walked across this place and decided to have the food there, I ordered a Hot Odon Duck Soup, and Rod got Hot Odon Shrimp.

The soup was taste sensationly the best, not too salty, not too sweet, exactly right. The soup was hot, the meat was great, no suace needed, because everything was perfectly just right.

Shinjuku

And then we spent the whole evening in Shinjuku, the bustling, crowded, and busy street at night. Especially during the workers leaving workout place, people are walking non-stop toward the direction ththey’reoing to while some just lost in the whole crowd of people, lights, big banners suroundding by, and ththat’some are including me.

We also stopped by at the games center, give a try to play a picking toys which later on Rod got a Picakhu for the first try, how cool is that, well, ththat’sust luck

And then, we continue our unplanned to just walking and searching not quite sure what do we looking for, we just let it be, wherever it will takes.

Somehow, we lost in a small street called, Omoide Yokocho, the street was all small resturant surrounded by on both sides full of Japaneses food such as sushi, ramen, BBQ and more while below head is decorated with lenin showcase the their culture heritage.

why cacan’te have place like this? why cacan’tub street or a khmer market in tourist site decote something that represent our culture?

Back to choas, lively, and bustling street, big and famouse brand are all around, not to mention Uniqlo, itit’sverywhere in Tokyo. So, we went for to look for a working beg for my friend, and guess, they even request me to put on a beg and take them a photos for them (man, I should charge for that). And Rod got a beg for Jimmy, and a hat for Jason. (Always have something for the bros)

After that, we went to the store that sell alomst everything you need that relate to tech, 7 floor, seperate each floor in category, there are iron, phone, laptop, earhone, and anything that relate to the tech, itit’sere. And guess what did we get? nothing!

However, after we saw the vinly in the store, ththat’shen we realize what we needed to buy, a vinly CDs! we have a vinly machince at home, however it pretty hard to find CD in Phnom Penh, therefore, most of the time, each time Rod travel, he always look for new classic CD of his favorite artist or album, and this time, he bought a bunch of great album such as Ed ShSheeren’snfamous album, The Greatest Showmen, and the Hot and Cilli papers.

I went to Uniqlo to buy a tote bag for Nyroth. She even asked me to take a photo with the bag so she could see what it looked like, even though she’d already checked it out online. I also got a small green bag for GL, while Rod bought a small green bag for Jimmy and a hat for Jason.

We finished the day having dinner with Rod’s niece, who is currently working and living in Tokyo and is an outgoing and friendly guy. it is funny how they conversed in English instead of Khmer. And they just never get out of topic to talk about. By the way, they look quite similar for some reason.
