The last time I went to Thailand was in 2022, and frankly speaking, I don’t remember anything at all besides the Mexican restaurant nearby the hotel we stayed at. It was where we had our first dinner when we arrived in Bangkok. And that’s the day Cesadilla was introduced to me, and from then on, every time I go for Mexican food, Cesadilla will always be on the list. All the memories faded away; I couldn’t recall where we went and what we did. Last time, we went to Bangkok to play in a frisbee tournament, so most of the time was spent on the field. In contrast to our previous trip, we had 2 nights and 3 days to explore this beautiful city, visiting places like Iconsiam, taking a Chao Phraya Cruise, and making it to the last stop at a Coldplay concert.
If there is one thing that I’m forever grateful for, it would be how lucky I am to be able to travel and see the world (well, I mean at least some parts of the world). Traveling has been a source of motivation to remind myself why I am working so hard, and how lucky I am to always get a chance to take a break and see how big the world is, and how little I knew about it. As I sit and reflect on many trips I have been on, and recently to Bangkok, I’ve learned that not everyone who works hard always has a chance to get whatever they want. There are thousands of people who, of course, work harder than me trying to survive, and for that, I’m forever grateful. This won’t come easily without Bong Rod, so thank you for always supporting me and making sure that your handsome brother like me deserves what the world has to offer 🙂
Got breakfast in the Plaza Lounge before we headed to Bangkok. Kuy Teav is always my go-to whenever I go there.

Arrived in Thailand
We touched down at Suvarnabhumi airport at 12 pm and had to wait in the immigration line for another half an hour. We stayed at the Soi Sukumvit block, which is a tourist site, and along the sidewalk of our hotel, there are many restaurants, both local and international franchise brands. After a few minutes’ walk, we decided on Taco Bell for our first lunch before heading to Iconsiam.

First Time at Taco Bell
My first time trying Taco Bell, which sells Mexican fast food founded by the American guy named Glen Bell in 1962.

At Iconsiam
Here we are at Iconsiam, first thing first, let’s eat! When it comes to food, Thailand is so good with it, they are so creative to mix everything together and you just never get tired eating their food.

10$ Mnak Eng
And Rod just bought a $10 durian! Yes, that’s little piece cost $10! but undoubtedly delicious.

After that, we were window shopping and almost got Jon to get a new brand iPhone 15. We were joking around how bad his Samsung phone camera is because every time he wants to take a picture, he has to tap his phone a few times to let the camera process if not the camera can’t focus, and a picture will be blur. However, the price there is actually more expensive than in Cambodia, so he decided to wait to buy here instead, right Jon?
