Malaysia

First Day

TBT, It was only just a few weeks ago since I kicked off to Malaysia for the first time ever. Within a diversity of foods, buildings, and rich cultures, these are all the things that I already miss the most about this fast-growing country in SEA.

After 2 hours of flying, we finally landed in Kuala Lumpur safe and sound. It took us around 1 hour by riding the train from the airport to the city. We stayed at The Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel which I personally think is one of the best hotel services with a reasonable price. It has a great location which is near shopping malls such as Pavilion and some other luxury brands like Gucci, LV, and Rolex. After checking in at the hotel, we laid down for a while until our stomachs growled. So we walked to one of the most popular street foods in KL, Jalan Alor, to get some Chinese food. At Street Alor, there isn’t only Chinese food, but Thai, Malay, and Indian food as well. After, we were enjoying ourselves. We headed to shopping at Pavilion, and get back to recharge ourselves to prepare for the exciting tomorrow.

Second Day

On the second day at KL, Before we headed to buy the tour bus ticket to explore the city, we stopped by to have breakfast at one of the busiest fast-food restaurants, McDonald’s, which is located near our hotel. PS, It was also my first time trying Mcdonald’s breakfast. I had Sausage McMuffin with Egg extra with Hash Browns, and an Ice latte (Their coffee is good, but can’t compare to ReanCafe xd) Ugh!! I’m starving now 🙁 After finishing our an incredible breakfast which totally cost around 20 RM for each. Whilst we were touring around the city, what I witness the most about this country; was the combination of the old and modern buildings around the city, and the dozen of buildings that are still constructing which shows how well the country has been developed so far since it gained the independence in 1963. Yet, we also didn’t miss the Aqurain where the diversity of aquatic animals like jellyfish, whales, and my favorite Nemo and Dory are living. 🙂 In the evening, we went to ride a rollercoaster at Squar Time. Man! I thought, my heart stopped beating at that time. The riding was in a flash, I couldn’t even take a pause to breathe. And that’s so excited about riding a rollercoaster, a little scary and a lot of fun!!

All in all, the trip was fun, and also a great time to expore and experience new things. Especially, to just go out there and enjoy the life we deserve after the COVID-19 crisis. Thank you, Rod, for teaching me how to ride the train. I would have missed many trains if you didn’t assist.
