Isn’t it crazy how fast time goes by?! I just realized it’s been 36 days since I started this workout journal on the website.
I got a compliment today from a guy at the gym I rarely talk to. I know I can be rude—he’s approached and talked to me a few times, but I only gave brief responses and didn’t show much interest in return.
He asked a weird question that I didn’t quite understand at first. He said I have a well-shaped and shredded body and then asked, “Are you on a diet or just exercising?” I was confused and unsure how to respond, so I just said, “Only exercising,” which might not have been very clear. Maybe he was asking if I take protein supplements or watch my diet? I guess so.
Anyway, simple words and compliments like this can make a big difference and brighten someone’s day, especially if you’re a beginner or someone trying their best to reach their goals. Having someone notice your efforts reinforces that you’re on the right track. All you need to do is keep doing what you’re doing, be patient, and most importantly, enjoy the process.
