I’ve had the idea of making this mini-documentary for a while now, but procrastination, laziness, and the chaos of life have kept me from starting; until now.
The time is close. It’s now or never. My journey to MUO has officially begun.
Today’s session was light, mainly focused on recovery. After coming off the Bangkok Hat tournament, I made sure not to put too much strain on my body.
I did wall sits to strengthen my knees and stretched to keep my body loose. But beyond that, I also spent some time reading an article on Ultiworld about exercises that can help ultimate frisbee players improve their game. Some key takeaways:
- Throw every day.
- Strengthen grip and wrist rotation power—by opening all the stubborn jars around you.
- Do pull-ups at work—improves grip and wrist strength (and might impress your boss).
- Don’t forget about the glutes—engage them when you huck to send the disc deep.
So yeah, that’s a wrap for today. The journey continues.
