Taipei – Day 1

It has been 3 months already since I went to Taiwan which was in October. And I have to be honest that this trip will be alot of picture instead of writing. WHY? because I didn’t note down a god damn things, and i couldn’t remember where I went to and what did I do at that time, and that procrastination keep me not finish this blog until now.

However, there’s something that I just can’t get over it, something that keep me coming back to finsh what I started, something that i’m not really sure what’s it about, and that’s something is probably the beauty of this ambitous country, the enriching culture, and most importantly, the ton of street foods this country has to offer is undeniable to share.

Never have I ever thought that Taiwan would be my next trip. Frankly speaking, i didn’t even know that Taiwan existed until Rod told us that there will be upcoming trip to Taipei which is a capital city of Taiwan.

Taking Off

After a long 5 hours flight, we finally touchdown at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). There was a long waiting line to checkout, after an hour had passed. We made it to the hotel through a train. I forgot the name of the hotel we stayed, but it’s a great location, there were a lot of stores, street foods, resturants, and you name it.

We got into the hotel, laid back and took a long nap until our stomach was grueling. We ended up eating at the chinese resturant near the hotel which I, of course, forgot the name. Anyway, here’s our first dinner for the first day.

The food was worth the whole day traveling, and after that, the eating journey didn’t stop here. We walked sightseeing around the place we stay at which was really crowded at night.

Did you know that Bubble Tea orgrinated from Taiwan? and i’m not really big fan of this kind of drinks, but this bubble tea that i was drinking was completely change my mind. The taste was defintely different than any other brand in Cambodia, the boba was soft and easy to eat, and most importantly, the drink not too sweet. Defintely, recommend you to try this one if you’re planning to Taiwan which i’m sure you will one day!
