Day 16

One of the many things I love about working out (notice I say “working out” and not “going to the gym” because I’m not a gymnast; I’m a guy trying to be a part-time athlete) is the deeper sense of fulfilment it brings.

For me, working out isn’t just about building a muscular physique to impress others, although I once thought that was its primary purpose. It’s not about showing up, posting stories, and letting people think you did something when you really didn’t.

There’s a unique feeling I get from working out—a sense of relief, pride, and trust. Many people believe these feelings come from external factors, but I think they come from the inside out. They come from taking control of your own life, challenging yourself, and setting specific goals to achieve.

The more I work out, the more I adhere to my plan, the more trust I earn in myself, and the more joy and pride I feel without seeking approval from others.

After all the pressure, debates, and internal battles I face every day, I continue to prevail. That victory brings a sense of relief and marks what a good day looks like to me.
