Day 39

What’s a better way to start the month than with a new personal record? I just completed 4 sets of 40 kg bench press for 8 reps, something that seemed impossible for a long time. I had aimed for this before, but an injury during frisbee training, which broke my arm, set me back. Now, I’m better than ever.

I’m not quite sure where the power came from, but it felt easier to lift. I had never reached 4 sets of 8 reps at this weight before—never ever. What a way to go!

P.S. I did change my technique. I usually positioned my hands a little narrow, but after watching a few YouTube videos, I learned that to focus on the chest muscles, the hands should be positioned wider on the bar. So I tried it, and it worked.
