Singapore – Day 3

It has been a while now since I posted a day 2 in Singapore. Life is just getting busier and busier, or I’m just too procrastinated to do it. I’m not sure. I thought I would give up on this one. However, there is something that keeps telling me to come back, something that makes me feel I haven’t done it even though I have done everything on my daily to-do list, and that’s something to finish what I started.

So, this is day 3, the last day in Singapore before we take off and head to our motherland.

Yishun Park Hawker Centre

We started our day by having breakfast at a local hawker called Yishun Park Hawker Centre near our stay; it’s vast and crowded. After we walked around the place for awhile, we decided to go back and get packed straight to the airport.

The Alchemy

However, there was a cafe shop near our hotel, so we decided to look and lay back there for a few hours. The cafe was designed for college students nearby to come and work on their school projects and presentations, hang out, and relax after school. After walking into the shop, the first and most favorite surprising thing that happened to me was, hearing John Mayer’s voice in the background, soft and slow. If you don’t know, John Mayer is one of my favorite artists of all time, but not many Cambodian people know him (I guess), and if you don’t know him, maybe you should!

And I took the time to reflect on the messy life I’ve had so far πŸ™‚

The cafe is named Alchemy; I just checked on the internet, and it’s actually one of the oldest craft beer bars in Singapore. At noon, the place is a relaxing coffee shop, and yet it turns into a bar right away in the night for a craft; maybe I’ll go check out their craft beer next time (I am not sure if it opens for the public).

Changi Airport

We returned to the hotel, laid back for a while, got everything packed headed straight to the Changi Airport. We watched the waterfall show, which was also my first time seeing it surrounded by pretty amazing green plants.

Here what’s I had. It was such a great dinner to finish off before heading back.

While waiting for our flight, we had our dinner at the lounge, having a chit-chat about this and that which we never out of topic to talk about.

In a nutshell, Singapore has been a great place to celebrate Rod’s birthday this year; a little expensive for almost everything, but I’ll keep up to that later; I mean, I’ll try. I had such a great time with the bros; having a fun conversation with them feels so good, especially when we’re on the trip. I dropped everything off: school projects, work, and every burden I carry; I usually drop it off on vacation time.
